Daily operations involve utilizing advanced tools and systems, including an Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system, to streamline patient care processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments for patients with a range of orthopedic conditions, post-surgical rehabilitation cases, and sports-related injuries.
• Design and execute personalized treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs and recovery goals, utilizing evidence-based practices.
• Implement various therapeutic approaches, including manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercises, and functional training to drive improvement and recovery.
• Educate patients and their families about proper movement mechanics and develop home exercise regimens to minimize the risk of injury and promote self-care.
• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams, including orthopedic physicians and support staff, to deliver comprehensive patient management.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient progress and treatment interventions within our EMR system to ensure compliance and facilitate ongoing care.
• Commit to continuous professional development by staying current with the latest research, techniques, and best practices in orthopedic physical therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

At Velocity Physical Therapy, our primary focus is on serving elderly individuals and those recovering from orthopedic surgeries and sports injuries. You will work with patients who have unique challenges and varying levels of mobility, providing therapeutic interventions that enhance their functional abilities and promote independence.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid Physical Therapy license issued by the state of Florida.
• Hold a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree or equivalent from an accredited program.
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively educate and engage with patients.
• Have the ability to create and implement targeted treatment plans that align with patient-specific recovery goals.
• Exhibit a genuine passion for helping patients achieve meaningful recovery and improved quality of life.
• Show capability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team-oriented setting.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience providing physical therapy in an Assisted Living Facility or similar geriatric settings is preferred but not mandatory.
• Experience managing a diverse caseload, particularly focusing on elderly clients or post-surgical patients, is ideal.

Compensation and Benefits

Velocity Physical Therapy offers a competitive salary ranging from $90,000 to $120,000 per year, commensurate with experience. In addition to a robust salary, our benefits package includes:
