Key Responsibilities

Your role will encompass a variety of crucial tasks, including:

• Conducting thorough evaluations of patients with orthopedic conditions, post-surgical cases, and sports injuries to develop appropriate treatment plans.
• Implementing personalized therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and functional training to promote healing and recovery.
• Educating patients and their families on effective movement mechanics, home exercise routines, and strategies to prevent further injury.
• Documenting patient progress meticulously in our Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system to ensure accuracy and continuity of care.
• Staying informed about the latest advancements and best practices in orthopedic physical therapy to continually enhance patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily work with elderly patients, many of whom require rehabilitation after orthopedic surgeries or treatment for chronic conditions. Understanding their specific challenges and adapting your approach to meet their needs is essential in fostering effective communication and trust with your clientele.

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must possess:

• A valid Physical Therapy license in the state of Florida.
• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy or a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited institution.
• At least 2 years of experience in a clinical setting, preferably in an assisted living or rehabilitation facility.

Preferred Experience

While experience in an assisted living environment is preferred, we welcome applicants from diverse clinical backgrounds. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are vital, as you will interact with both patients and medical staff regularly. Compensation and Benefits

Velocity Physical Therapy offers a competitive salary range of $90,000 to $120,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to financial compensation, we provide a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
