Velocity Physical Therapy is seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist to join our onsite rehabilitation facility located in the vibrant area of Saint Petersburg, Florida. Work Environment

As a member of our team, you will work in a dynamic, collaborative environment that encourages professional development and patient-centered care. Our facility values teamwork and open communication, ensuring that all staff members work together to provide the highest standard of service. The facility operates from Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients suffering from various orthopedic conditions and tailor treatment plans accordingly.
• Implement and oversee personalized rehabilitation programs, employing manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and functional training techniques.
• Monitor patient progress, adjusting treatment plans based on functional goals and outcomes to optimize recovery.
• Educate patients and their families on effective movement mechanics and develop prescribed home exercise programs to enhance rehabilitation.
• Collaborate closely with orthopedic physicians and healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive, coordinated care.
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient documentation within our Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system, ensuring accessibility and confidentiality.
• Continuously engage in professional development to stay abreast of the latest best practices in orthopedic physical therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be assisting elderly patients and those recovering from injury or surgery, many of whom require sensitive care and rehabilitation support. By implementing targeted treatment plans, you will help patients regain their strength, improve mobility, and achieve their rehabilitation goals, significantly enhancing their quality of life.

Qualifications

• Current and valid Physical Therapy license in the state of Florida.
• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of two years of relevant experience as a Physical Therapist.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills that foster a trusting and respectful patient-provider relationship.
• Strong ability to create and implement patient-centered treatment strategies that reflect individual needs and preferences.
• A passion for empowering patients during their rehabilitation journey and helping them achieve their health goals.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in providing physical therapy services specifically within assisted living facilities, although this is not mandatory.
• Demonstrated ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Compensation and Benefits
